We aim to ensure that all children at Thornton Dale Primary School are provided with the opportunity to reach their potential, both academically and socially, and as part of a successful learning community demonstrating a strong ethos of care and support for children’s overall development and preparation for the future.

Our Governing Body comprises representatives of the local community, people with national expertise in education public sector leadership, business, parents, and staff. We use our wide knowledge and experience to help set the direction for our school, provide support and hold the school to account.
